Constance Cummings-John was a Sierra Leonean educationist and politician in both pre and post-colonial Sierra Leone who campaigned for women’s rights in Sierra Leone and the continent of Africa at large. She was born in 1918 in Freetown, Sierra Leone, into the elite Krio Horton family.
