“Hi Reader, you are about to enter dreamland. Good luck!” This inscription dotted on the front pages of one of Sierra Leone’s fastest-rising digital magazines is enough to arouse your reading curiosity. Indeed, you are about to trek the path of imagination and exciting reading.
One of Sierra Leone’s biggest digital magazines, People That Inspire Magazine, has released its June 2022 edition featuring inspiring Africans, compelling stories, African fashionistas, and a trip down memory lane. This 8th edition features spine-tingling stories such as Sierra Leone’s historic 1998 execution of 24 military soldiers, Djealo – a Djembe percussionist from Mali, an interesting op-ed on the Judiciary, and the highly anticipated appearance of John Konteh and Phebean Swill – the duo who has ceremoniously aid our stickiness to our TVs during the eviction nights of Housemates Salone. Their professionalism in handling major programs is incontestable in the sub-region. There are also iconic camera shots of our in-bred African continents.
The magazine’s main focus is to tell the stories of Africa’s change-makers, top models, fashionistas, entertainers, and many more. Africa, the world’s most diverse continent with its intriguing and distinct cultural values and traditions, spreads across the northern and southern hemispheres, with eye-catching landscapes embedded in serenity, clothed in peace, love and harmony and rich history, has over the years coined in a very negative perspective by Western media platforms. To end this dark spell of one-sided storytelling, young creatives in Africa are on a mission to tell their own stories positively. Every month, the magazine goes through the length and breadth to bring to its audience inspiring and compelling African stories from all regions of the continent.
