Alongside top News and Media companies, we (The African Dream) are ranked in number 25 out of 30. This is huge for us considering the limited resources that we have at our disposal but deliver quality content to our thousands of website visitors monthly.
Founded on August 30, 2020, by a young Sierra Leonean writer, storyteller, economist, and mobile journalist, Abu Bakarr Jalloh, The African Dream came into existence as a result of the negative African stories on the internet that are persistently published by some Western media platforms. The African Dream, just like its ally Salone Messenger, primarily focuses on telling positive, inspiring, and compelling African stories from the continent and the history of black people in wholeness. Today, The African Dream has published more than a century of African stories which 90% are positive, inspiring, impactful, and compelling stories. Our primary focus is to change the Western narrative that nothing good comes from Africa and all they should report is negativity. The image of Africa has been distorted and it’s our responsibility to fix it to how we would love to see it.
The African Dream want to thank everyone that has been supportive of our mission in telling our stories. We would love to say a huge thanks to our thousands of website visitors that read our stories, like, share, comment, and subscribe. We also want to say thanks to the Feedspot team for selecting The African Dream to be on their list of Top 30 African News Website on the web.
Until the history and success stories of Africa is told by Africans, the story of greatness will always glorify the imperialists.
