The African Dream

On a cold morning, I do pick up my pen to write. Yes, willing to write it down but literally unable to paint a picture of my dream. Blinded with struggles, the pain is vivid and the glory blur.
Oh lord! the distance between my dreams and my reality is more than a journey of a thousand miles. So should I still start with a footstep ??
Or should I start running ???

I feel the responsibility on my shoulders, yet I fight to keep my dream alive. Though poverty tries to make me shun the design yet my soul is lucid in her dream of a glorious Africa!!!
Yes, a glorious Africa I said.

Painting of hope. “All we got in Africa is hope for a better future”

The dark continent being lighted up. Dazzling beautiful beyond human eyes to the admiration from the soul. An Africa of which hearts are profoundly envious,
“Africa the mother of humanity” Our backs against the wall it’s hard to see beyond our oppressor.

Truth being told our oppressor remains our minds and how it’s been setup. They label us poor and we believe it, they say we are dirty and we manifest it, they call us rebels and we act accordingly.
OH Africa who cast the spell upon you? Who bewitched you oh Africa
They call you poor yet feed from your yards.
So it’s time for collective deliverance!! Time for massive redemption of our brains.

Oh children of Africa!!!!! Descendants of the brave!! Sons of
courageous men!!!!! Those from the lineage of integrity,
offspring of valor. It’s time to see beyond the oppressor. Time
to revive our lost hope. Time to reactivate our fallen dream, time
to reset our minds unto prosperity and progress

Oh children of Africa!
Descendants of the brave!!
Sons of courageous men!
Those from the lineage of integrity, offspring of valor. It’s time to see beyond the oppressor. Time to revive our lost hope.
Time to reactivate our fallen dream, time to reset our minds unto prosperity and progress.

it’stime to dream again your dawn
is now.
