Dominators from start to finish, the Senegalese national team largely dominated South Sudan (104-75) this Friday on the occasion of the second day of group D of the men’s Afrobasket Rwanda 2021. A second rank success that sends the Lions directly to the quarterfinals of this 30th edition of the African basketball mass.
Senegal becomes the first team to cross the 100 point mark in this tournament. Indeed, the men of Boniface Ndong were strong for their Sudanese counterparts who challenged the very first Afrobasket in the history of their country. The other satisfaction of this match is to be put to the credit of Ibrahima Fall Faye who illustrated himself with good stats (10 points and 10 rebounds). This is Senegal’s first double-double.
With this second victory in as many outings, Senegal validates its sesame for the quarter-finals while waiting to play its third and last group match this Sunday at 7 p.m. against Cameroon, already eliminated after a second straight setback.
