In a Tweet minutes ago, the Sierra Leone Minister of Basic and Senior Secondary School Education has said they are currently dispatching hard copies of the West African Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination 2021 results to districts and schools.
The 2021 SKYTRAX World Airline Awards has awarded Ethiopian Airlines the Best Airline In Africa. Founded on December 21st, 1946, as a military aircraft, the airline has grown to become one of the world’s largest carriers with a fleet of 130 aircraft, and one of the best in the world. The airline also made it to the list of SKYTRAX Top 100 World Airlines, sitting at number 37 above China Airways, Brussels Airlines and Malaysia Airlines.
Rebecca Kaibanya, a 14-year-old pupil of Saint Augustine Secondary School Lungi has won the 2021 United Bank for Africa Foundation National Essay Competition winning a Le 50,000,000 scholarship grant.
Just after the World Bank pulled out technical and financial support for the ongoing Mid-Term Census, the World Bank Board has approved an International Development Association (IDA) grant of $75 million to “improve natural resources governance, enhance inclusiveness and promote sustainability of development financing.”
With support from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) donates 77 solar-powered refrigerators to the Sierra Leone Ministry of Health and Sanitation to “strengthen the cold chain system of the country’s Expanded Programme on Immunisation (EPI) and reduce infant and under-five mortality rates in Sierra Leone.”
