Ivory Coast goalkeeper Ali Badra Sangare lost his father earlier today. The Confederation of African Football made this known with a message released on their official Twitter page.

The 35-year-old only assumed the No. 1 jersey after Sylvain Gbohouo was banned for doping violations

Sangaré made headlines on Sunday when his calamitous error in stoppage time led to an Alhaji Kamara goal which saw the Elephants share the spoils against Sierra Leone following a 2-2 draw.

Our thoughts go out to him in these trying times.
