Sierra Leonean Musical Sensation, Vision Boy, seeks to break into the music industry

Music has been an existing value forever present in the day-to-day activities of human life. From calypso, to the famous reggaeton, and the African style of afrobeat, it has stretched its wings linking continents, borders and people with great preeminence.

Alimamy Samba Sesay, popularly known by his stage name, Vision Boy, is a new school artist vehemently looking to break into the Sierra Leonean limelight of music. Marked with huge talent and potential, Vision Boy, is a level two student at the Institute Of Public Administration And Management (IPAM) currently studying Business Administration. He had previously acquired a diploma in Procurement in the said university. He did his secondary education at the CMS Grammar School. Vision Boy’s genre is hip-hop, Jamaican reggae, and afrobeat.

Having to balance between university and music, Vision Boy, in an interview stated that the process is demanding and crucial. Music started for him since his time in high school and it has quickly become a normal venture. He has two songs at the moment namely; “Fling am pa me” and “Sunlight”. Sunlight is a mix of jamaican reggae and hip-hop. The song possesses a cool rhythm of beach vibe and relaxation.

Vision Boy is at the moment signed to the Dream’s Movement record label, a label which consists of young and promising new school artists. When asked about the adaptation of his stage name, Vision Boy stated, “The name Vision Boy was etched out around the confines of my studio. I needed something different for a moniker. I am working towards a vision, a goal, and an objective. The name Vision Boy is related to the mental projection of how I would want to grow in years to come”.

Vision Boy shall be releasing a new song titled: Criminal. The song will be released midnight and it shall be available on Audiomack. Similarly, his songs can be accessed through Audiomack and YouTube.

Vision Boy is inspired by Wizkid who he widely considers his mentor and someday hopes to soar at that same level with his ranks.
