2021 BEACH SOCCCER WORLD CUP – Senegal, African Champions Crushes Uruguay (6-1)

Thanks to a dapper hat-trick from Raoul Mendy, the Senegalese national team largely dominated Uruguay (6-1) this Friday for their first match of the 2021 Russia Beach Soccer World Cup. On the other hand, Mozambique lost yesterday, their first outing ahead of Spain.

A successful introduction is what the Senegalese national beach soccer team achieved this Friday by defeating Uruguay with a clear score of 6-1. Led to the score from the first minutes, the reigning African champions pulled out their claws to walk on the Celeste.

Coach Ngalla Sylla’s number one offensive asset, the inevitable Raoul Mendy slammed a dapper triple – a hart-trick that allowed the six-fold champions of Africa to overthrow Uruguay. Mamour Diagne, Jean Diatta and Mamadou Sylla participated in the party.

After Uruguay, Senegal will try to secure a second victory in a row on the occasion of the second day. The reigning African champions will challenge Portugal next Sunday, August 22 at 4 p.m. GMT.

In addition, Mozambique, the other representative of the African continent at this year’s Beach Soccer World Cup in Russia, were beaten yesterday by Spain by the mark of 8 to 4. The finalist of the last Africa Cup of Beach soccer will try to recover this Saturday against the United Arab Emirates at 12 p.m. GMT.
