Shocking! Black Stars of Ghana are out of the African Cup of Nations

The four-time African Cup of Nations champions, Ghana bow out to newcomers Comoros in a 5-goal thriller.

The newcomers Comoros have sent the Black Stars of Ghana packing after an incredible defeating 3-2 victory in the final match of their group stage match. This is Comoros first-ever appearance in a major tournament. Comoros hadn’t scored an AFCON goal before tonight. Ghana finishes bottom of the group and crashes out of the group stages. Star player Andre Ayew saw a red in the early first half after E. Nabouhane’s goal in the 4th minute.

Richmond Boakye and Alexander Djiku scored in the second half for Ghana to make it 2-2 but Ahmed Mogni claimed his second of the game with five minutes left to seal a famous win for Comoros.

Shocking, as this may look, but the TotalEnergies African Cup of Nations 2021 is living up to the expectations.
