Brazilian football legend Ronaldinho visits Tunisia to promote tourism

Ronaldinho

Ronaldinho, the famous Brazilian footballer, arrived in Tunisia on Thursday. He’s on a mission with the Tunisian Tourism Office to showcase the country’s many offerings. The tourism industry accounted for more than 10% of the country’s GDP before Covid.

Ronaldinho, the Brazilian footballer who has become the new face of Tunisia’s tourist promotion, paid a visit to the country. The former star took a stroll through the streets of Sidi Bou Said, a town in the country’s eastern region. Karim Gharbi, a local rapper who had invited him, accompanied him.

The Tunisian Office of Tourism (ONTT), which welcomed Ronaldinho on Thursday, will assist him in his goal of promoting the country’s attractions.

The football great toured the remains of Dougga and the amphitheatre of El Jem, which date back to the Roman Empire, with agents from one of the most important Brazilian excursion agencies. He also interacted with fans in the Tunisian capital’s Ksar Said area on Friday. Ronaldinho will stay in Brazil for a few more days.

Tunisian officials want the sector to restore momentum as the busy season approaches. In 2018, tourism accounted for 14% of the country’s GDP.
