Burkina Faso President Traore Opens Country’s First Tomato Factory

Burkina Faso’s President Traore officially inaugurated the first-ever tomato processing plant in Burkina Faso.

The new facility, spearheaded by the Burkinabe Tomato Company, will create jobs, enhance local agricultural production, and boost exports.

Speaking at the inauguration, President Traore emphasized that the establishment of this tomato factory is a powerful symbol of his administration’s vision for an endogenous and inclusive development of Burkina Faso.

He highlighted that the ultimate aim of this development is to ensure the full flourishing of all Burkinabè citizens.

“This industrial unit is not just a factory; it is a testament to our commitment to creating sustainable growth within our borders, empowering local communities, and improving the livelihoods of our people,” said President Traore.

“The goal is for all Burkinabè, regardless of where they live, to benefit from our country’s growth and progress,” he added.

The project’s success is largely attributed to the enthusiastic and patriotic commitment of Burkinabè citizens from across the country and the diaspora.

President Traore praised the widespread participation in the community entrepreneurship program, where Burkinabè individuals invested in the factory through popular shareholding.

“This project would not have been possible without the overwhelming support from our people. It was the collective effort of both those here in Burkina Faso and those living abroad who believed in this initiative and invested in it,” the President said.

Looking forward, President Traore expressed his firm belief in Burkina Faso’s potential for prosperity, stressing that the country is rich in resources and poised for growth.

“I remain convinced that Burkina Faso possesses the necessary resources to fuel its own development and ensure a prosperous future for all,” he added.

President Traore called on all Burkinabè citizens to continue working together toward building a sovereign, proud, and prosperous nation. “Let us continue our march towards a Burkina Faso that stands strong, united, and poised for a bright future,” he concluded.
