“We rise by lifting others,” is the famous slogan of Nigerian singer, songwriter and philanthropist, Davido. The singer is known for his humanitarian work and generosity toward the less privileged and for helping people.

Davido has taken social media by surprise yet again after he tweeted that he will give a full scholarship to a Ghanaian student named Morro Suleyman who scored 8As in all subjects he sat for in last year’s West African Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) but has been at home for months with no concrete plans to go to the university due to his parents not being financially strong to send him to the university.

All thanks to a Twitter handler named Nana Yaw who on Tuesday, 21st of June 2022, took to Twitter to share the story of Suleyman and posted Suleyman’s impressive WASSCE result as he called on people to help Suleyman fulfil his dream to go to the university.

“I would want you to use this occasion to bless this brilliant boy with the numerous blessings God has been using you to bless people. He was the best student at Sunyani SHS in 2021 but due to financial constraints, he’s still at home,” Nana Yaw tweeted.

Since then, the tweet has gained a lot of attraction but most importantly it got to Davido. The story touched the heart of Davido and he couldn’t hold it but step in as he usually does and offer a helping hand. Davido then took to his Twitter page and asked his millions of followers to help him locate Suleyman so he can help him. Indeed, the search was fruitful and Suleyman was located hours later after the singer made the announcement. It was at this moment that Sulleyman’s dream of getting into the university started to come to pass.

Davido announced that Suleyman has automatically earned himself a 4/5 year scholarship at Adeleke University with allowance and accommodation included. He said, “We have contacted Suleyman who lives in Ghana and he has been given a full 4/5 year scholarship to Adeleke university.. accommodation and allowance included! God bless y’all.”
