East End Lions appoints Charlie Wright as new coach

Charlie Wright

Former FC Kallon coach Charlie Wright has been named the new head coach of Sierra Leone Premier League giants, East End Lions.

Wright, who previously served as national U20, U23, and home-based coach, has a twelve-year playing career with FC Kallon in Israel’s top-tier club football. This wealth of expertise qualifies him to lead the East End Lions into a bright season.

The former FC Kallon manager will be bringing a plethora of expertise to the forthcoming Sierra Leone Premier League season.

East End Lions finished third in the previous top-tier season. They are anxious to improve on this performance in the following 2023/24 Sierra Leone Premier League season, thanks to their new coaching addition and desire. The league is set to begin on November 3rd.

The 2023/24 season is predicted to be highly competitive, with East End Lions aiming to win the league after missing out on two consecutive seasons to their Southern competitor Bo Rangers.

Coach Wright’s knowledge with the country’s top-flight football, garnered during his successful spell at FC Kallon, gives the club an added boost of confidence.
