Amadu Justice Bah is the Founder and Owner of IMAT College, one of Sierra Leone’s leading technical and professional colleges.
When the civil war in Sierra Leone forced Justice to become a refugee in Guinea in 1999, he saw a unique opportunity: to learn French and enhance his career prospects. He would later add Spanish to his list of international languages that also includes English and Arabic.
That knowledge has proven to be pivotal to Amadu’s career success. His thirst for learning has seen him acquire a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Linguistics, a Bachelor of Laws with Honours from the University of London, a Master of Science in French Linguistics and a Postgraduate Diploma in Telecommunications. He is also set to pursue a PhD in Law and Diplomacy.
But away from his academic accomplishments, what is perhaps most impressive about Amadu Justice Bah is his huge entrepreneurial drive.
Ten years ago, in 2011, Justice turned his passion for education into a small, private tutorial business with just six students. PASS Syndicate prepared students for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE). In 2013, PASS Syndicate transformed into a pre-school, a primary school, a secondary school and a college that has campuses in both Sierra Leone and Guinea. His learning institutions serve a combined student population of nearly 5000.
He is also currently the Managing Director of SONOCO Flour Mill Agro-industrial Transformation Project, a multi-national company dealing with flour and agro-industrial assembly factory for bakery machines.
Justice attributes much of his success to God, hard work, and a prestigious leadership award that he received from the Mo Ibrahim Telecoms Management Programme for young graduates in 2006. He also believes his multilingualism offers him a bit of an edge.
He operates in several countries in West Africa and has special knowledge about the multi-plight of African people. On his next big move, he told Chozen Generation Sierra Leone that he is in the process of founding an environmental sanitary industrial plant for West Africa and is currently looking for partners.
