Aheu Kudum Deng is a 34-year-old South Sudanese beauty queen and model, who stands 6 feet 5 inches is the tallest documented Beauty Queen ever to partake in any beauty pageant. She won the Miss Earth South Sudan in 2009 and represented the country at the 2009 Miss Earth beauty pageant.
Born in Bor, South Sudan, in 1986, Aheu Kudum Deng and her family were forced to flee the country during the war of Independence against North Sudan and went to Kenya. She is the eldest of four girls raised by a single mother after her father General Deng Kudum was killed on May 8, 1992, when he led an SPLA rebel attack on Juba, Sudan. His father, General Kudum Deng was one of nine Bor Dinka brothers killed in the war of Independence against North Sudan.
Whilst in Kenya as a refugee, Aheu Kudum Deng was forced out of school to get married when she was just 15 years old to a man who was a total stranger to her for dowry.
Deng escaped from her marriage and seek solace in a refugee camp in Kakuma, Kenya. She later went back to school and soon realised how much worth she was as a young woman.
She made a decision and returned to her home country to take on life by the horns. She had developed a deep passion for modelling and she went for it. She surprisingly rose through stardom fast and ultimately became Miss Earth South Sudan.
Many international modelling agencies started to reach out to her team since then and her life has never been the same. Certified by Guinness world record as the world’s tallest beauty Queen, Aheu Kudum Deng went on from being a refugee kid in Kenya to be a beauty Queen, not just a beauty Queen but the world’s tallest beauty Queen.
