Meet The Ghanaian Twin Sisters Who Are Both Medical Doctors

Dr. Emefa and Dr. Emenyo

Ghanaian twin sisters, Dr. Emefa and Dr. Emenyo both graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery and a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery respectively from the University of Ghana Medical School.

The sisters attended Achimota Secondary School in Ghana and graduated in 2015. The sisters were given the opportunity to enrol in their chosen programs at the University of Ghana after successfully passing the West African Senior School Certificate Exam with distinctions.

The twin sisters received much praise on social media for their remarkable achievements because they set a high standard for other women and girls to follow in their academic endeavours. Before now, the field of medicine was dominated by men but today many young and brilliant women like Dr. Emefa and Dr. Emenyo are changing that narrative. We are now seeing more women in science and technology than ever before.
