Meet the South African entrepreneur and founder of South Africa’s best marketplace selling high-quality African Brands: Sibulele Mene

Sibulele Mene is a South African entrepreneur and the founder of an online marketplace called AmazingMall Africa. He lives in a town called East London in the Eastern Cape of Africa. He is currently a student at the University of South Africa studying Economics. Sibulele Mene is an entrepreneur who is passionate about eradicating poverty in Africa through the use of eCommerce.

He created an eCommerce platform called AmazingMall Africa. AmazingMall Africa is an online marketplace that showcases neglected South African and African brands created by innovative and high-talented entrepreneurs.

Sibulele Mene was inspired by the need to support local entrepreneurs ranging from artisans, fashion designers, craftsmen, authors, and artists to market and distribute their at a national scale through the use of eCommerce. In recent years, a movement has begun. It’s a movement that takes consumers away from large, impersonal big retailer brands and introduces them to locally owned brands sold locally at a small scale.

The main problem that Sibulele Mene realized is the lack of an online marketplace that is entirely dedicated to showcasing these products to South African consumers and giving them a seamless, personalized, and secure online shopping experience to buy these products.

“We are an online marketplace which is African brand championing, we are small businesses centric, we are proudly South African and committed to restoring and reshaping the local economy. The products which are currently big sellers are African fashion merchandise; we are still new and went live in December so we still recruiting sellers to increase our range of products available on our catalog,” said Sibulele Mene.

Sibulele Mene said “We want to be the biggest seller and exporter of African brands globally. We are also looking into utilizing block-chain technology by accepting cryptocurrency as one of your payment methods. In the future, as adoption increases, accepting cryptocurrencies as a form of payment will be the norm. The aim is to help small and medium businesses everywhere get better financial coverage and a liberated financial connection with the rest of the world. This will also attract new customers. Many crypto users will be thrilled that they can spend their favorite cryptocurrency at your our marketplace, why exclude them?”
