Nigeria’s Tobi Amusan delivered a stellar performance at the 2025 Rabat Diamond League, clinching victory in the women’s 100m hurdles with a new record time of 12.45 seconds, surpassing the previous record of 12.51 seconds set by American Brianna McNeal in 2018.
This win marks Amusan’s first major triumph of the 2025 season, following earlier fourth-place finishes at the Xiamen and Shanghai Diamond League meets.
Reflecting on her journey, Amusan attributed her success to renewed focus on technique and increased hurdles practice.
“After the first two Diamond League meetings, I knew I had to go back to doing more hurdle drills. Two weeks in, I can tell the difference,” she stated.
The race also saw commendable performances from the Netherlands’ Nadine Visser and Poland’s Pia Skrzyszowska, who finished second and third with times of 12.67 and 12.69 seconds, respectively.
