17 years after the death of Sandra Regina, the estranged daughter of Pele, and after 17 years of denial, Pele finally acknowledged Sandra as her daughter by including her in his 13 million pounds will that he left behind. Pele never acknowledged that he had a daughter named Sandra Regina despite DNA results revealing he was the father.

Pele, one of the greatest to ever touch the ball died on December 29 2022 at the Albert Einstein Israelite Hospital, São Paulo, State of São Paulo, Brazil. However, the news of his demise was marred by the stories of his estranged daughter, Sandra whom he never took responsibility for until his death. Even though the football legend never for once acknowledged he had a daughter named Sandra Regina. But he finally did

The legendary football player Pele consistently denied that Sandra Regina was his child, but it has now come to light that he bequeathed a portion of his vast fortune to her in his will. Sandra, who was born in 1964 and passed away 17 years ago, was devastated that her father continued to ignore her. But she was mentioned in his will along with all of his seven children.

The two boys of Sandra, who got to see their grandfather for the first time while he lay dying in the hospital, will inherit Sandra’s part of his wealth. Pele had a last wish to meet Octavio Felinto Neto and Gabriel Arantes do Nascimento, and on December 28, the day before he passed away at the age of 82, they paid him a visit.

Gabriel said: “I thank God for providing this moment, it was what my mother dreamed of most. I spoke to my aunts, and they said that our grandfather wanted to see us.

“We were very excited, it was an opportunity we had been waiting for. Every family has fights and rows, ours is no different, but there are moments when union and love are more important than anything else. We are extremely happy.”

After Pele had an affair with his housemaid, Anisio Machado, their mother was born. Although Pele resisted acknowledging paternity, DNA tests and a 1991 court decision established his paternity. Pele’s estate is thought to have been worth £13 million. With his first wife, he had three children: Kelly, Edinho, and Jennifer; with his second wife, twins Joshua and Celeste; and with a third woman, Flavia, he had a daughter.
