Millions of Sierra Leoneans are hoping to see their national team qualify for the knockout stages for the first time in their history. Sierra Leone shocked the football world in their first two TotalEnergies African Cup of Nations group matches, holding defending champions Algeria to an incredible goalless draw; and came from behind twice to hold The Elephants of Ivory Coast in a 2-2 draw. A draw for Leone Stars will also see them qualify to the next round of the competition. Leone Stars need a WIN or DRAW but MUST avoid a defeat.
