There must be a point in your life when a certain singer takes pre-eminence in your no. 1 go-to list for favourite songs. Well, Kao Denero has numerous admirers and die-hard fans. Isaiah Washington happens to be one of them.
Isaiah Washington, a Hollywood actor, and media personality, once compared Sierra Leonean hip-hop star Amara Dennis Turay, who goes by his stage name Kao Denero, to the legendary Notorious B.I.G. In fact, he took a step further in admitting that Kao Denero is “better” than the deceased rapper.
The footage shows Isaiah Washington quickly discarding a song done by Nigerian rapper Ice Prince, and then bringing up the conversation about Kao Denero in African hip hop. “He is the king of Freetown, he is huge” Isaiah Washington stated.
Apart from being a notable symbol in the category of American films, Isaiah Washington made history when he became the first African American to be granted full citizenship based on DNA. A DNA test revealed that his maternal ancestry is traceable to the West African country of Sierra Leone. Isaiah Washington has been involved in charity work and donations in the country.
Kao Denero, though severally meddled in controversies, is arguably the best hip-hop artist in Sierra Leone. He gained significant attention during his feud with Sarkodie and Lyrical Joe. The latter has now reconciled. Kao Denero is also serving as the National Ambassador For Entertainment in the country. He has bagged several awards and musical accolades and his live performances have been mostly sold-out.
