FIBA AFROBASKET 2021 – Tunisia, African Champions Starts Very Strong

Reigning African Champions, Tunisia stood out from the start. In the opening match of this 30th edition of the men’s Afrobasket, the Tunisians largely marked Guinea Conakry on Tuesday by 82 to 46.

Kigali Arena, Rwanda, is the host of the 30th edition of the FIBA Men’s Afrobasket from August 24 to September 5 2021

The competition, which brings together 16 teams divided into four pools, started this Tuesday morning with great success for Tunisia.

Reigning African champions, Tunisia, were overwhelming favourites against Guinea who recorded their second participation in Afrobasket. Ziyed Chennoufi’s teammates (Afrobasket 2017 top scorer) won all quarter times (24-11; 21-14; 20-12).

Remember that the winners of each group will automatically qualify for the quarter-finals, while the teams finishing 2nd and 3rd will compete to complete the table. The teams which take the last place in their group will be eliminated.
