Founder of The African Dream Shortlisted For The Vickie Remoe Prize for Journalism and New Media

Abu Bakarr Jalloh, a Sierra Leonean content writer, storyteller, and founder of The African Dream has been shortlisted for the 2024 Vickie Remoe Prize for Journalism and New Media.

The Vickie Remoe Prize for Journalism and New Media was founded by Vickie Remoe, a Sierra Leonean award-winning entrepreneur, TV Host, media and marketing consultant and curator of #MakeSierraLeoneFamous.

The Vickie Remoe Prize highlights emerging journalists and new media content creators for excellence, originality, and creativity.

A total of 15 Sierra Leoneans across four different categories are shortlisted for their skills in news writing, photography, videography, and content creation.

Winners will be selected and announced in April by a panel of Sierra Leonean professionals in news media and talent development.

Abu Bakarr Jalloh is a young Sierra Leonean content creator and writer, storyteller and the founder of The African Dream, a news and media platform dedicated for positive, inspiring, stories and stories of change-makers in Sierra Leone and across the continent.

He is a graduate of Njala University, Sierra Leone, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics.

Since 2019, he has written and published over 500 quality articles on his platform and other platforms. His website boosts of over 500,000 readers across over 150+ countries in the world.
