Malian Entrepreneur Launches Taxi Company With 100% Electric Cars

Malian entrepreneur, Ibrahim Diawara, founder of IBI Motors Group, has launched Mali’s first taxi company with 100% electric cars.

Ibrahim’s company is known for its work in aviation, renewable energies, and irrigation systems in Mali.

According to Ibrahim, the range of these electric cars reaches 300 kilometers when fully charged.

The cars are powered entirely by solar panels and will be integrated into the urban transportation system of Mali’s capital, Bamako.

“There’s a significant cost difference between traditional gasoline or diesel vehicles and electric vehicles,” said Ibrahima Diawara.

IBI Motors Group has already installed over 400 solar panels to convert sunlight into energy, which will support the operation of these vehicles.

His company, IBI Motors, plans to build an electric vehicle assembly plant in Mali, which will create jobs and boost the local economy.

Mali, with its abundant sunshine, averaging 4,200 hours annually, is well-positioned to capitalize on solar energy and reduce reliance on expensive and polluting fossil fuels.
