Black Woman With 33 Grandchildren Graduates From College at 63 Years Old

Robyn Roberts is an amazing 63-year-old grandmother of 33 and great-grandmother of 12. She recently graduated college from Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU), proving that age is not a barrier to academic achievements.

In an interview with Good Morning America, Robyn stated, “I have finished something I started that is absolutely amazing, and I feel amazing.”

Her journey to the path of higher education commenced after a challenge from her grandson back in high school who told her, “I’ll do it if you do it.” Therefore, a friendly and interesting competition began between the two, which included a GPA contest that Roberts proudly won.
With a degree in Business Administration, this soon-to-be 64-year-old grandma dreams of becoming a lawyer. She is on course to enter law school. Roberts believes she can use her law background to provide support to survivors of abuse.“64 is the year of new beginnings,” she said. “If all goes well, by the time I turn 67, I’ll be a lawyer.”When she is not involved with her academics, Roberts and her husband oversee their trucking business that deals with hazardous materials and government equipment. She thanked SNHU for accommodating her studies despite her busy schedule managing a business.

“I did 90% of my studies from inside my semi-truck,” said Roberts, who worked on assignments in rest areas during their travels.
